Personality:
- Hotheaded (especially when someone points out his lack of height)
- Bad taste in fashion (Just gonna leave this here, mostly because it makes me giggle every time.)
- Both Immature and Very Mature (When the situation calls for it, Ed can be very mature and look insightfully at a situation or even himself. He’s also a teenager though, and we see him act immaturely a lot too, like when Ling mentions he’s almost a year younger than Ed, but he’s still a whole head taller than him, or when he gets in arguments with Al.)
- Compassionate (easily empathizes with others, especially in times of hardship)
- Reckless (Decides risking his life in a fight with a serial killer is a great way to lure out the people he needs to capture/talk to)
- Clever (Able to make plans in advance or on the spot. How good those ideas are can vary.)
- Protective of those he loves (This chapter shows both his compassion and protectiveness. I’m sorry it’s the full chapter but you only have to scroll past a few pages to get to Ed, Scar, and Winry.)
- Responsible (He takes responsibility for his own actions to the point where he actively avoids asking for help, feeling like his problems are his alone and he shouldn’t drag other people into them.)
- Intelligent (Managed to get a government license when he was 12, came up with a formula for human transmutation and able to transmute his brother’s soul at 11, able to connect the dots to figure out what’s really going on, uses logic to solve problems and interpret his surroundings)
- Skeptical (Ed’s a scientist and will disregard any rumors of magic or miracles to be either nonsense or some slight-of-hand trick)
- Emotional (He wears his emotions on his sleeve whether it be anger, sadness, joy, etc. Throughout the manga we see him lash out verbally and physically in anger, cry, laugh, etc.)

How Do You Think They'll React to Being In Parthas? He’s going to be upset. Ed just did some world hopping and finally ended up back in Riverview, and just a few days later he finds himself in some other new place and it’s not back in Amestris like he wants.

As for dealing with Gods? That’s going to take some adjustment. He’s heard of places where supernatural stuff happens, but he’s never experienced them himself and he’s going to be skeptical about magic and such until it’s fully in his face and he can’t deny it anymore.

Anything Else? Edward’s an alchemist, which he means he can transmute objects and substances into other objects and substances. There are limits to this power. First of all, whatever he’s transmuting has to be within his reach and transmutations follow the law of conservation of mass, which states that matter cannot be created or destroyed. He cannot transmute 10kg of gold from 1kg of lead. Whatever he transmutes also must have the same or similar properties from what he’s changing it from. For example, he can transmute wine to vinegar since they’re both liquids with similar properties, but he cannot transmute a steel spear from a pool of water. This is mostly what he’s talking about when he describes alchemy using “equivalent exchange.”

Edward will also refuse to perform human transmutations, as doing so has severe repercussions and usually results in the alchemist being severely injured, maimed, or dead.
